What Is Face Up?

Face Up is a new pathway to deep release and a nervous system reset. It is not a facial, not a massage, and not simply a beauty treatment. It is a neuro-emotional sculpting method that works through the fascia, breath, nervous system, and subtle emotional patterns held in the face. By addressing the deep layers of tension stored in the cranial, facial, and jaw structures, Face Up helps the body unwind in ways that are both aesthetic and profoundly therapeutic.

This work releases the physical burdens we’ve been “holding” on our faces for years, creating a noticeable shift in how we look, feel, and move through the world.

The face is the most expressive landscape of the body. Every emotion, every stressor, every prolonged pattern of thinking or surviving leaves an imprint on the face. When the deep fascia of the face becomes tight or compressed, it affects the entire fascial network of the body. Every fascial chain connects to the face—so releasing tension here has a full-body effect. Many clients describe Face Up as feeling like a head-to-toe reset, even though the work is localized to the upper body.

Face Up uses slow, deeply intentional touch to work through multiple layers of fascia, musculature, and emotional holding. It blends structural work with nervous system regulation. Through deep contact, the practitioner helps the client’s nervous system shift into safety—what we know as parasympathetic dominance. This is where true release happens. As the system softens, the face begins to open, the jaw unwinds, and old patterns of tension dissolve.

After a Face Up session, clients feel relief from jaw tension, TMJ patterns and head/neck compression. They also experience a lifted, naturally sculpted face, improved skin tone, brighter eyes, more overall radiance, and a deeper sense of alignment and connection to themselves.

A note on aging: Most signs of aging are actually signs of tension. Lines form where the face is gripping. Puffiness appears where fluid is not draining because tissues are compressed.Drooping occurs when the fascia is tight and dehydrated. Face Up melts away tension and moves blood and lymph stagnancy and stagnancy for a more vibrant, healthy and youthful appearance.
